Stibbe advises Canon on its bid for Océ

Stibbe and its alliance partner Herbert Smith are advising Canon Inc. on its intended EUR 730 million all cash public offer for all shares of Océ N.V. Together, Canon and Océ aim to create the overall number one presence in the printing industry. Canon also agreed to pay EUR 65 million to buy Oce’s preferred shares.

  

The Stibbe team is led by Björn van der Klip and also includes Rein Wesseling (antitrust) and Allard Metzelaar (corporate). The Herbert Smith team is led from the Tokyo office by corporate partner James Robinson and also included Jacques Buhart (antitrust).
