Jan specialises in employment law and industrial relations, particularly involving trade unions and works councils. His work includes the employment aspects of business restructuring, mergers and acquisitions as well as litigation for companies and senior executives regarding dismissal, reinstatement, pensions and share options and other work related issues. Furthermore, Jan is a deputy justice in the appellate court of The Hague and a deputy member of the Raad van Discipline in Amsterdam. Jan is also mediator registered with the Netherlands Mediation Institute. He frequently is involved in business mediations. Furthermore he lectures at the Grotius Law Academy.
