Ingmar de Groot

Ingmar specialises in construction law and commercial project development. He has a wide range of experience advising on building contracts, area developments, public private partnerships / private finance initiative (PPP/PFI) contracts and complex real estate transactions.

He also regularly litigates on behalf of clients involved in construction and real estate related conflicts before the ordinary courts and arbitration tribunals in the Netherlands.

Ingmar holds a bachelor degree in civil engineering.

His experience includes acting for: 

• A consortium of Heijmans, Ballast Nedam and Barclays on their bid for the SAA A1-A6 road scheme
• Heijmans on its bid for the PFI contract in connection with the new accommodation for the Dutch Supreme Court in the Hague
• Heijmans on its bid for the PFI contract with respect to the Defence Museum in Soesterberg
• United Parcel Service (UPS) on various real estate projects in the Netherlands
• Rabobank Nederland on the development of new accommodation for Rabobank's  management centre in Utrecht
• De Alliantie in connection with the development of a housing estate in Hilversum
• Stichting Pensioenfonds Stork on a PPP contract for the development of a housing estate in Arnhem
• Heijmans and Macquarie on their bid for the Regiotram project in Groningen
• A consortium of Dutch Infrastructure Fund, Fluor, Heijmans and VolkerWessels on their bid for the A12 and A15 road scheme
• Representing developers, contractors, architects, (local) authorities and other parties in the construction industry in various legal proceedings
• A Lecturer at the University of Amsterdam and the OSR, an established post-graduate institute in Utrecht
